 (*) are an association founded with the intent of rediscovering and sharing gastronomic traditions of Tuscany and the Valdichiana.
Founded in 2000, “I Gustasapori” is based on the experience, and expertise of Chef Donatella Balducci. For the last 20 years she has researched and rediscovered ancient recipes, and Tuscan traditions.
Located on the properties of Agriturismo Fontelunga, classes gather inside the ancient 16th century rustic villa in the countryside, just a few minutes from Cortona. Over the years Donatella has given demonstrations and participed in numerous television programs and cultural events. Her aim has been to promote the rediscovery of the pleasure of simple, authentic cooking, whether for the dilettante, or the professional chef of any nationality.
Annually, we demonstrate our culinary excellence during the “Tuscan Sun Festival”, the famous international event in Cortona patronized by the author of “Under The Tuscan Sun”, Frances Mayes.
Everyone can particpate and assist in the fun lessons. The extended courses and special events are always dedicated to the traditional cooking of Toscana.
You are welcome to participate in our events as a guest at the Agriturismo Fontelunga ( nearby), or if you’re staying elsewhere. In this way you can combine a wonderful vacation in Tuscany with a superb culinary experience, which is fun and enjoyable for novices and experts alike.
